It’s been 6 weeks since we last blogged.  In those six weeks, Lisanne traveled to Russia for two weeks and Houston for a few days on business.  Bill stayed aboard Rocinante, pretending to learn Spanish and working (or at least pretending to work) on the boat, though he was often distracted by opportunities to paddle his kayak or row the dinghy. In Rio Dulce, Guatemala

So, here we are, two weeks into our new life, living fulltime, more or less, aboard Rocinante. She (our boat) is now in the Rio Dulce, Guatemala and thus so are we. The Rio Dulce is a large estuarine system that joins Lake Izabel to the Caribbean.  Think ranches, jungle, mangrove, exposed limestone, Mayans, lots of bird life, the occasional manatee, the odd snake. Counting the days

Just as our life is about to take a different turn, Rocinante (our sailboat and new home) is also undergoing some changes. Her changes are upgrades, like new painting and varnishing. She is looking better every minute!! Currently, Rocinante is in Guatemala, on the hard, at Ram Marina in Rio Dulce.
